The sucker punch

Everything is contained in that punch
All the fury of humiliation
The missed opportunities
The grimy walls and dirty streets
Out-smarted, striking out
At something weaker, inattentive
And after -
A grim satisfaction, - elation
At having stuck back
Evened some imaginary score
By breaking a stranger’s face
Who just happened to be there.
